These Terms govern your use of Fono. By using Fono, you agree to these Terms with SKML LLC, a California limited liability company (“SKML LLC”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
The service
Fono provides missed-call recovery and AI voice ordering services to restaurants. Service availability, features, and pricing are described at fono.services and may change.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to bind the business you represent. By signing up, you confirm you have this authority.
Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate information.
- Comply with all applicable laws including TCPA, CCPA, and state-level recording consent laws.
- Use Fono only for legitimate business communication with your callers.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials.
SMS communications (Fono Messaging Program)
By using Fono, you authorize SKML LLC to send transactional SMS messages to your callers on your behalf as part of the Fono Messaging Program.
Program description: SMS messages confirm missed calls, provide callback timing, and confirm voice orders placed through the Fono assistant.
Message frequency: Recurring as triggered by caller actions (typically 1–3 messages per call). No marketing or promotional messages are sent through this program.
Message and data rates: Msg & data rates may apply. Carrier rates depend on the caller’s mobile plan.
Help and opt-out:
- For help, callers may reply HELP to any message to receive program information and support contact details.
- To stop receiving messages, callers may reply STOP to any message at any time. After STOP, no further messages will be sent to that number unless the caller replies START to resubscribe.
Consent: Callers consent to receive these transactional messages by initiating a call to the participating restaurant’s published phone number.

Operator: This SMS program is operated by SKML LLC (DBA Fono).
Pricing and payment
Fono is currently offered to pilot Customers without charge. Future pricing will be communicated at least 30 days before charges begin. You may cancel at any time before charges begin.
Intellectual property
All Fono software, content, and trademarks are owned by SKML LLC. Customers retain ownership of their own data including call recordings.
Limitation of liability
Fono is provided “as is” without warranties. SKML LLC’s total liability for any claim is limited to the amount Customer paid SKML LLC in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
Termination
Either party may terminate at any time. SKML LLC may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by California law. Disputes will be resolved in San Joaquin County, California.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Updated versions will be posted at fono.services/terms with a revised “Last updated” date.
